Breonna Smith

We are so excited to have Breonna join our faculty this season! She started training at The Wright Step at the young age of 4. She has been on the Xtreme Team, competing and performing, for 6 years. She has a strong foundation in Ballet and has studied all genres of dance. She has been a teacher assistant here at The Wright Step for the last three years, and she is so excited to be teaching her own classes & sharing her love of Dance with her young students! 

 

Breonna is a senior at Lakeland Collegiate and is a member of National Honors Society. She will graduate with her AA in May.

 

Breonna has been awarded several scholarships throughout her dance journey! She received an automatic acceptance into the BFA dance program for Lindenwood, University of Memphis and University of Utah. She was also awarded a scholarship towards the dance program at the University of Houston. Breonna was awarded additional scholarships to the ELITE dancer programs for WEST COAST DANCE EXPLOSION, REVEL and NYCDA.

 

She recently traveled to NYC with Ms. Amy & Mr. Kevin to take classes and further her training at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, taking from professional instructors and choreographers in all genres. Breonna will be making the decision to either attend college in the fall or begin auditioning for professional work as a dancer. Breonna is thrilled to share her love & knowledge of performance and dance with our young students. Our students are blessed to have her positive energy, dedicated work ethic and passion!
